Ken Rosewall Tennis Centre

Named in honor of tennis legend Ken Rosewall MBE, AM on February 28th, 2004, the Ken Rosewall Tennis Centre recognizes his immense contribution to tennis in St George, Australia, and on the international stage. Ken, who began his tennis journey with the Illawarra Suburbs Lawn Tennis Association, enjoyed an extraordinary career that spanned over 25 years. Remarkably, he was ranked among the world’s top five players for two decades.

Career Highlights:

  • 16 Grand Slam singles finals, with 8 victories

  • 15 Grand Slam doubles finals, with 9 victories

  • First Grand Slam win in 1953 at age 18

  • Last Grand Slam win in 1974 at age 39

  • Member of 4 Davis Cup winning teams

  • 16 Davis Cup singles victories

Facilities:

  • Courts 1 & 2: Blue hard courts

  • Courts 3 to 8: Green synthetic grass courts

  • Sheds: Equipped with shade, power, and water

  • Barbeques: Two BBQs with nearby picnic tables and benches for patron use

  • Clubhouse: Features toilets, showers, a kitchen, and seating for approximately 40 people. Available for private hire.

  • Pro Shop: Offers racquet sales and hire, tennis balls, accessories, stringing services, and cold drinks.
